Psychotherapy

What is psychotherapy?

Psychotherapy, also known as talk therapy or counseling, is a form of mental health treatment in which a trained provider helps individuals, couples, or groups address emotional, psychological, and behavioral issues. The process involves discussing problems to gain insight into thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, ultimately leading to improved mental well-being and the resolution of psychological challenges.

What if I don't feel comfortable talking about certain things?

We understand that you may have reservations about discussing sensitive topics. That's completely okay! We will offer you a safe space for you to explore and share when you feel comfortable.

What should I expect during the initial consultation?

The initial consultation is the first step in your journey toward improved mental well-being. During this 60-minute session, you will meet with one of our experienced providers who will take the time to understand your concerns, challenges, and aspirations.

The provider will discuss your mental health history, treatment goals, and possible paths forward, including therapy, medication management, or a combination of both. Together, you’ll collaborate to create a personalized plan that aligns with your unique needs, setting the foundation for your healing and growth.

Do I have to have a diagnosed mental health condition to benefit from therapy?

Nope! Everyone can benefit from psychotherapy and we want to be able to provide you with the outlet you need to express yourself.

Can psychotherapy be combined with medication management?

Yes, psychotherapy can be integrated with our medication management service. Many clients benefit from a combined approach, where both work together to address mental health or medical conditions comprehensively.

Medication Management

What is medication management?

Medication management is a healthcare service designed to help individuals use their medications safely and effectively. It involves prescribing the right medications, regularly monitoring their impact, and adjusting them as needed to optimize treatment. This ensures better health outcomes while minimizing any potential risks associated with medications.

Why is this service important?

Medication management is vital because it helps ensure that medications are working as they should, minimizes possible side effects, and improves overall well-being. By regularly reviewing and adjusting treatment plans, it enhances the effectiveness of medications and reduces the risks associated with their use.

How does it work?

Our process begins with an initial assessment, where we evaluate your health condition and current medications. We schedule regular follow-up appointments to track progress, monitor any side effects, and make necessary adjustments to your medication regimen, ensuring it aligns with your evolving needs.

Is medication management only for certain conditions?

No, medication management can be beneficial for a wide range of health conditions, including chronic illnesses, mental health disorders, and various other medical conditions.

How often are medications reviewed or adjusted?

The frequency of medication reviews and adjustments depends on your individual needs and the nature of your condition. Some clients may require more frequent monitoring, while others may have less frequent check-ins. You and your provider will work together to determine the appropriate schedule based on your treatment plan.

Is medication management covered by insurance?

Insurance coverage for medication management varies by plan. We recommend checking with your insurance provider to understand the extent of coverage and any associated costs.

What if I have concerns about my medications?

If you have concerns about your medications, it’s important to discuss them with your provider. They can address your worries, offer guidance, and adjust your medication regimen if necessary to ensure it aligns with your health goals.

Can medication management be combined with psychotherapy?

Yes, medication management can be integrated with our psychotherapy service. Many clients benefit from a combined approach, where medication management and therapy work together to address mental health or medical conditions comprehensively.

What happens during a medication management session?

During a medication management session, your provider will review your medical history, assess your current symptoms and medication regimen, and discuss any concerns or side effects you may be experiencing. Based on this evaluation, adjustments to medications may be made.

How do I prepare for a medication management session?

To prepare for a medication management session, it’s helpful to make a list of your current medications, any side effects you've noticed, and any questions or concerns you have about your treatment. Bringing this information will help ensure a productive discussion.
